Frequently Asked Questions

At Idoni Caring Group LLC, we understand that families may have questions about Group Adult Foster Care and how our services work. Below, we’ve answered some of the most common inquiries to help you better understand our programs. If you need more information, our team is always here to help.

GAFC is available to adults over the age of 22 who need assistance with daily living and meet specific income guidelines set by MassHealth.

GAFC services are not typically covered by private insurance plans. However, if you have MassHealth or meet the necessary income requirements, you may qualify for coverage. Please contact our office to discuss your specific situation and explore available options.

GAFC, or Group Adult Foster Care, does not provide skilled nursing care. Instead, it focuses on assisting with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, meal preparation, and medication reminders. If you require ongoing medical or nursing services, you may need to explore other care options in addition to GAFC.

To apply for GAFC, you should first contact our office to determine your eligibility and discuss your care needs. Our team will guide you through the application process, which includes completing necessary forms and providing documentation of income and medical requirements. Once your application is submitted, we will work with you to develop a personalized care plan that best fits your situation.
If your needs change overtime, you should notify our office as soon as possible. We will reassess your situation and adjust your care plan to ensure you continue receiving the appropriate level of support. Regular reviews and updates are part of the GAFC service to accommodate changes in your health or daily living requirements.
